Why 23 Weeks Beat the 16-Week Free Plan

The 16-week plan gets you to the finish line. The 23-week custom programs (starts Dec 28th or anytime there after!) take you beyond it — built around your weekly hours, zone testing and setting, specific workouts, and event type to target your best Transpyr result. Those seven extra weeks add progression, durability, and pacing confidence for every stage.

Transpyr Training — Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between the 16-Week and 23-Week plans?

The 16-week plan builds you to the finish line. The 23-week programs add seven extra weeks to develop endurance, durability, and recovery — ideal for Transpyr’s back-to-back stages.

How are the 23-Week plans personalized?

Each plan adjusts to your available hours, terrain, and event type (Backroads, MTB, or Gravel). Weekly load and recovery scale to your schedule.

What do I get with the Self-Guided plan?

Your 23-week plan inside TrainingPeaks, fully synced to Garmin/Wahoo/Zwift. Includes strength, mobility, and in-app education on race strategy and nutrition.

What’s included in Coach-Connected?

Everything in Self-Guided plus a dedicated coach for feedback every ~6 weeks and up to 5 workout reviews per month through TrainingPeaks Notes.

What happens after Transpyr?

Continue into BaseCamp for recovery and long-term progression, unlimited training plan.  Coach-Connected includes guidance for that transition.

Do I need a TrainingPeaks account?

Yes — it’s free. You’ll receive a link to connect your account or create one in minutes.

Can I cancel or upgrade anytime?

Yes. You can pause or cancel anytime. Upgrading from Self-Guided to Coach-Connected keeps all progress intact.

What equipment do I need?

Any device that syncs with TrainingPeaks — Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift, Apple Watch, etc. Power or heart rate recommended but optional.

Is there a version for Gravel, Backroads, and MTB?
